3 Reasons Your Background Doesn’t Matter To Become A Writer

I was on my way to be an accountant, only to become a writer.

--

The paths of our lives twist and turn and we never fully know where our decisions and actions will take us. It’s one of the beauties about life that also make it thrilling to experience.

Out of the many options that we could possibly make in our lives though is the opportunity to become a writer. For some of us, this decision can come out of nowhere while for others it can almost be expected to happen.

You might’ve had a diary or you journaled from time to time like me.

You could have a talent for telling stories already and you’ve decided to put your craft to practice.

But in some circumstances, perhaps the writing life chose you as the seemingly only viable option at the time. This doesn’t apply to writing but to any kind of career path.

But with writing, it seems like there are other barriers to it.

Some people choose not to write for all kinds of reasons. And sometimes it boils down to people thinking they’re not good enough to cover the topic or discuss it.

I can relate to this as when I first started my Youtube channel, I felt like I was walking on eggshells…

I write (and sometimes do videos) about self-help for those who don't like self-help. Complete with the occasional memes and riffs on the industry that I love.
