5 Lessons From My Try Hard Month

Last month was my first month that I worked about as hard as I did before COVID. Here is what I learned from it.

August was going to be the month where I’d take get back into the swing of things. Ever since Canada was in a state of lockdown while providing incredible financial relief, I took advantage of it as work went from a steady pace down to a crawl.

It was a huge set back and I picked a convenient solution that has put me in a strong financial position by the end of it. Though it was at a cost of feeling too comfortable.

Because I knew I’d have all my costs covered by the government, there wasn’t a huge demand for me to work as hard on my business. I slacked off on my email list, only a few days ago sending out an email to my list.

Probably the first one all year.

I also slacked off with looking for other clients and my writing overall.

In order to get myself back, I put a challenge on myself. Make $3,000 in August — the same amount I could theoretically make while working a little and getting financial relief from the government.
