Christmas has always been hyped up to be a time to celebrate and to be around the people that you love and give you joy. We spend so much time focusing on that rather than accepting the other side of these holidays.

That when a person passes away, we no longer get to celebrate that day with them any longer.

Christmas and the holidays have conditioned us to think they are positive events and they are, however there is that gloomy side of it and there are people that do get severe depression around this time. Not just because of Christmas but because of winter, shorter days, and other things.

Thank you Shannon for continuing to remind us about that aspect and that it is absolutely okay to be experiencing these feelings.

I write (and sometimes do videos) about self-help for those who don't like self-help. Complete with the occasional memes and riffs on the industry that I love.
