Do These Things To Improve Any Skill

Not satisfied with how a skill is growing? Have some patience and keep working on it.

I’m sure you’ve heard this piece of advice before, but it’s worth repeating again:

“Keep practicing, you’ll only get better over time.”

But while this piece of advice can be dull, and repetitive, we see time and again people developing their skills through this method.

My writing skills improve day after day the more care and consideration I put into my work. Not to mention reminding myself of the skills that I learned.

All in all, it’s such simple advice, but more often than not we find ourselves giving up on skills and telling ourselves that we can’t do something or that we’re not that skilled at this.

The reality is that when we’re growing skills and when those sorts of things happen, there are actually a few things that are happening behind the scenes.

We set aside that simple piece of advice of “keep practicing” and we show reluctance to improving the skill or mask our real reason for giving up with an excuse.

And it’s by understanding why we do that where we can get back to growing our skill and believing in ourselves.
