For sure. I didn't delve too much into the history for why cooking is so undervalued but a lot has to do with how we as a society have focused on specific food production and also just where society has been steered too. As cookers ourselves, we know there are quick and easy dishes we can make with a three or four ingredients. But for the average person it's easier to buy some hot pockets than it is to boil some rice and toss in some veggies and meat for a stir fry.
The biggest issue is that we've made such a big stink about being efficient and fast paced we're effectively min/maxing every part of our lives. Between that and people not passing down cooking skills (I was 18 when I learned, I'll be 32 in October) and not emphasizing it in school, it's highly likely for people to never cook anything in their lives beyond microwaving stuff.
I do like the idea of a cult around those three things too. Balancing all of those things can make a big difference in people's lives.
