Haven't personally read any of Racheal's (or David's for that matter) work, but I do know of them through various stints. Articles like these also help me to understand as someone who enjoys writing on self-improvement the issue with so many of these guru's is that they're not willing to change.
They're not going to suggest changing the system because the current system has garnered them millions of dollars, sponsors, and general happiness. To them they've "solved the question on life" and want to tell the answer to people, not understanding the answer changes as people change and new revelations occur. This is on top of privileges, luck, and other things they neglect or don't want to admit.
Hollis has that issue but there are other prominent individuals - such as Tony Robbins - who don't embrace current causes and what problems people are actually facing right now. They have their methods and systems that got them there and think that's the best solution for other people. And as you point out, it's clearly not.
