As a means of stabilizing my financial situation this month, I’ve been making an effort to look for more work than I have been.
It’s tough given that my stomping grounds for gigs is UpWork. A site that I owe a lot to, but has been acting weirder and weirder. It’s at a point now that despite being a highly rated individual on the platform, I get hardly any views or proposals from people.
It was only four years ago where it was the stark opposite.
The same can be said about Medium as well. My earnings this year are less than half of what I’d typically make. Not only that, but the view and read counts have hardly shifted much.
Because of these circumstances, I’ve had to rebuild myself, try new things, stop procrastinating so much and get things done. Can’t say I’m mad about that at all, I’ve been needing to do that at times. It’s more that it’s tougher than usual given the circumstances in which I’m trying harder at being better.
All of this has culminated into getting job notifications for various freelance positions from a handful of job posting sites.
Without any hesitation, I checked the latest and saw a posting for a Youtube scriptwriter.
