How To Be Patient If Progress Is Slow Or Stalled
Your goals can be achieved faster with a bit of patience and mindset shift.
One of the key strategies to sticking with a goal is to be training your mind to fall in love with the journey rather than the end result. While that’s a good piece of advice, that simple mindset shift can cause a problem.
What if during your journey, your progress stops suddenly. Or maybe you are so close to achieving your goal you need something to work out for you.
The excitement of achieving a goal — whether it’s big or small — can be overwhelming in those moments and during those times we can get impatient. We can skip over things or get sloppy at the end.
We can trip and fall right before finishing.
Regardless of the scenario, I find two things to be helpful in these situations:
- Exercise some patience and self-control.
- Fall back on a motivational system to push you forward.
Discover Why You’re Impatient
It’s easy to skip over this part as people are fully aware of why they’re impatient — your progress is stalled or you want to get over that last hurdle as quickly as possible and enjoy the rewards.
