How To Start A Small Business From Nothing

One of the big barriers to starting a business is capital. For many people out there they refuse to start a business because they have no money to start it.

I’m here to say that is total bullshit.

I’ve already talked about before how you can break down excuses, but I want to devote some time to breaking this excuse down. I know that I am fully capable of that as I am living proof that you don’t need a brand or any money to start something.

Money, or the lack thereof, should never be a reason to not start a business period.

Remind Yourself That Resourcefulness Is Your Ultimate Resource

You become what you believe, not what you think or what you want. — Oprah Winfrey

The first thing to remind yourself is that how resourceful you are is the ultimate resource for you. Learning to leverage from what is readily available to you is a skill that can be acquired over time.

There’s also a certain way of thinking to it as well. People of resourcefulness have certain things they bring to the table.

But when it comes to business, resourcefulness can stem from your use of tools and what you can get away with for free. You also measure how much time it costs you and so on.

That is honestly how I started.

Every tool that I use today I got for free and some of them I still use for free at the time of me writing this.

You can certainly follow the same path.

For Good Measure, Remind Yourself To Stop Limiting Your Thinking

“Flying starts from the ground. The more grounded you are, the higher you fly.” ― J.R. Rim

What I’m trying to get at honestly is to eliminate you limiting mindset.

You can’t learn about yourself if you linger on things you think you can’t do.

Again, you’d be surprised what you can accomplish on your own if you spend time to look around. I found a plethora of free tools that can automate your marketing strategy to making sure you stay on task with your goals.

If you continue to think the sky is the limit or that there are limits at all, you will keep yourself trapped in that box and that thinking.

Instead, devote some time to expand your thinking. Any successful entrepreneur has a growth oriented mindset and understands the value behind sharpening their saw.

If you feel stuck in your business the deep rooted reason is that you are thinking too small or you’re not using your resources well enough.

Afterwards, Take Action And Look For Ways Around Your Problems

“You are limitless! Accept this truth and soar to infinity.” ― Amy Leigh Mercree

There are a multitude of businesses that have sprouted up that provide quality services.

The amount of free stuff available to us is absurd.

To put into perspective how far we’ve come, there are sites that offer full fledged university courses from Ivy League universities for free.

The amount of free information can be leveraged by any people. Not to mention there are many opportunities out there that are free to join as well. That is how I was able to start earning money for my work.

I started by accepting sponsored posts, writing for other people, wrote a book, and more.

The only thing those cost me in the end was my time to do the tasks.

Best of all, you can do the exact same thing as I am doing, but do it in a different way. There are so many ways you can take that can solve problems.

This is why life is exciting and you can tailor it to yourself.

There is more than one way to solve a problem and how our mind works will reveal that solution that’s best for us.

Try This

I encourage you to start changing how you are thinking.

How we think and see our current reality is a reflection of who we are as a person.

When we think in scarcity, many of us place limitations. It’s for this reason why we think you need a good foundation of money to start up a business.

I don’t blame people for thinking this way.

But when you take the time to look around and explore the options that you have, you’ll realize that you can do a lot with so little.

To your growth!
