I Bought A Book On Writing

Sometimes the best way to grow is to pick up a book.

This month, I’m dedicating my time to being a better writer.

But what exactly does that mean?

For some people, it’s expanding their vernacular or copying other peoples styles. For others, it’s looking at previous work and asking impactful questions.

For me, it’s picking up a book on writing, something that I have never done before.

Yesterday I ordered On Writing: A Memoir of the Craft which delves into the mind of Stephen King and he explains writing. I’ve heard a few things about this book, and while I’m clearly no non-fiction writer, I am a writer nonetheless.

I honestly don’t know what this book will be doing for me. Some books I’ve read have had fantastic knowledge that I’ve kept to while others I hardly remember or seem applicable at all in my life. But I still feel hopeful about this, especially now that I recognize what sort of stage I am at with my business and my life.
