I live in Canada so I can't say I've looked around the US lately. Also from my own experiences eating less doesn't equal losing weight. That logic was what put me in a famine state for over a year and made me gain what little weight I lost from vigorous workouts 3 times per week. Weight loss mostly occurrs from the kitchen sure, but you want to make sure you've covering important nutrients so you're not depriving your body of calories and other vitamins, proteins, and carbs.
