I would argue to do this to a degree. I'm with you entirely that people who treat you differently and make their negative judgement of you known are horrible people.

However, we as people are wired to want validation to some extent. You could say this article and talking about your peripheral neuropathy is a form of validation seeking. To forgo this about one particular aspect is to deny that part of you.

Personally, you're nice and knowing that you're dealing with this health situation you're strong for living with it for years now. Should you stop caring about what I think? Maybe. We don't really know each other that well and I'm a random commenter on the Internet at this point. But it would be petty to dismiss me just because I have a different opinion of you now since you told us about this.

Regardless, I appreciate you sharing this.
