They say that whoever you keep in your inner circle and who you are influenced by says a lot about who you are and how you grow as a person. If that is the case, then one person I am glad to be listening to is Mark Manson.

Ever since my journey into self-help, I didn’t really have a solid voice of reason to guide me.

I had a few coaches who turned up becoming right-wing conspiracy theorists, or someone that took advantage of my desire to be more productive.

Beyond that, the major voices of people like Tai Lopez and Tony Robbins weren’t people I could really get behind for one reason or another.

Who I gravitated more towards was Gary Vaynerchuk and eventually Mark Manson. People who offered some serious advice and were direct. People who were inspiring and could help me focus when I needed it.

Both of these individuals are people I don’t consume a lot of their content. Vaynerchuk I’ve since moved past and my experience with him was a handful of his vlogs and one of his many books.

And with Manson I finished reading one of his books last year along with checking out his blog…

I write (and sometimes do videos) about self-help for those who don't like self-help. Complete with the occasional memes and riffs on the industry that I love.
