No problem Christine and thank you for reading. I can understand the challenges, especially when these changes are coming quickly and one is relying on something to keep working the same way. It makes people angry, confused, and a little nervous about all of it.

And for me personally, it’s in these sorts of situations where I find the most creativity and the most clarity of what I should be doing next.

I obviously don’t know your whole life situation Christine, but if you’re a little nervous, I’d continue to create content at your own pace but put some contingencies in place if you’re that paranoid. It’s why for me I’ve taken up freelancing and hunting for writing clients outside of Medium so I’m not as reliant on Medium’s paywall earnings (which have always been below $100 for me so far). Not that I think Medium is going to dissolve, but I find it’s best to diversify a little when possible.

Good luck out there! :)

I write (and sometimes do videos) about self-help for those who don't like self-help. Complete with the occasional memes and riffs on the industry that I love.
