No problem, Shannon! It still baffles me that after all this time they're still not doing it or have put that "acknowledgement" behind something that financially enriches themselves.

I know bad publicity can be good and all but its frustrating when it's over something that takes so little effort. Especially when these individuals are in an industry where empathy comes with the territory.

It all comes down to how people interpret events in their lives and their own upbringing I think. For me I became very self aware as I remind myself on a regular basis about minor social mistakes I made (i.e. not speaking up, shifting blame when I shouldn't have, etc.) and then use those to say "now imagine if those instances were more severe? What would you do? How does it make you feel?" For you, you've been through so much that others couldn't even imagine and used that trauma to talk about and process it. That's really tough to do let alone reach the understanding that you outline in your stories since it's easier to play the victim and blame your circumstances or someone or something else.

I write (and sometimes do videos) about self-help for those who don't like self-help. Complete with the occasional memes and riffs on the industry that I love.
