Not with that particular issue, but you were insuinuating I didn't do any research and you didn't tell me what particular issue you had with the article outside of me making baseless claims.

As for anorexia, the Mayo Clinic link only outlines certain causes which can be tied to what fasting is about. Fasting is all about eating a massive meal at a certain point in time and then after that restricting your eating. Mayo Clinic outlines things like adopting rigid rules for when to eat or have eating rituals as one of those signs of anorexia. This also happens to be a hallmark quality of fasting in general so it could lead to it but it's not a guarantee.

I don't think IMF is akin to anorexia, but it can lead to it if one isn't careful. Also anorexia nervosa is pretty closely tied to fasting as many people who have it do use it as a means of losing weight - even though they don't need it.

Also I agree that if one thing is off, it can cause problems for the rest of your body. It's more that not many people recognize that and they'll do whatever without much thought.

I write (and sometimes do videos) about self-help for those who don't like self-help. Complete with the occasional memes and riffs on the industry that I love.
