Social Media Should Never Replace What Truly Matters
A reminder of what social media can really do if we’re not aware.
This is a reminder to take some time for yourself. To not get over your head and get hooked.
Social media is a powerful tool, but at the same time can be an addiction. On a personal level, but also on a professional level.
We obsess over our stats or we think to ourselves “one more post will make a difference” after we scheduled or published dozens already.
Even if we’re using social media to brand ourselves and grow ourselves, there comes a point where social media can do real harm to us. Like the social impact social media has on youth, business owners can experience periods of anxiety, lower self-esteem, loneliness, and depression.
Some of us doubt our abilities to build a successful business.
So many people run into situations where they don’t know that many people. I’m one of them where I only have a handful of genuine connections with people.
And some people ultimately give up on their business because they’ve lost all hope after obsessing over stats and not getting where they want to be.
