Thank you very much for writing this Colleen. How you described perfection is actually a lot better than how I explain it. For me it takes a while to explain how silly it is, but I like how you describe it.

To expand on your note on perfection though it is indeed silly, however when we learn to let go, we can start to appreciate more of what we do have. I’d say I have a pretty good family and extended family. Sure there are a lot of issues, but when you let go of those ‘perfect’ standards, you can start to cope and deal with it. By working to compliment our faults, we all feel closer to one another.
