The Best Way To Solve Problems: Think In Solutions
One of the biggest turning points for my business was when I was able to finally earn an income from my passion.
Obviously it’d be any turning point for any person, but for me, it was a seriously big one. Part of that was due to the fact that I didn’t see an income for two years upon starting a business.
Around the time, I was working on various opportunities for me to be boosting my income and I honestly felt stuck and lost. I was thankful that I had a little bit of money coming in, but nothing to seriously write home about.
However what helped me out significantly was actually some counsel from a webinar host who was talking about money as well as an opportunity.
I didn’t care much for the opportunity, however what stuck out to me the most was his approach to money. Or in this case, how to get out of the lack mindset.
“Instead of focusing on the lack of money, focus on the ways that work best for you to make money.”
This stuck out the most to me because it taught me a valuable lesson about problem solving.
Instead of focusing on problems, focus on the solution to that problem.
Intense Focus
Of course, saying this is easier said than done, however for people who are looking for quick solutions, this is honestly it.
If you want to deal with a problem, spend your time and energy finding and acting upon a solution.
The issue is that so many people focus on their problems. Like I said above, I dwelled on my money problem for several years and made no effort to change it. Even at the time of writing this I’m still not at the point where I can live on my own.
But instead of dwelling on that fact, I’m working on changing that each and every day.
You will need intense focus on the solutions for you to find any kind of success.
An Approach To Solving Problems
The more time that you dwell on a problem the more time that you waste focusing on it.
This puts a strain on our patience and for many people they resort to the most convenient solution that comes their way.
It is for this particular reason why I jumped to every money-making opportunity I could get my hands on. And yet, even with all of those potentials, I didn’t solve my money problem.
Instead I realized that I had so many ways to make money, I really had none. I quickly lost interest in them and realized that I was more into the money than the actual work.
When we have been dealing with problems in our lives, you will notice some times our actions make no sense. Furthermore some of those actions are things that we wouldn’t be interested in normally. To this day I never bothered about working on those opportunities. And some of them I dumped a few hundred dollars on.
Instead of throwing your money away at fixing the problem like that, take some time to pause and think things through.
Seriously ask yourself these questions:
“Would I be seriously doing this in any other kind of circumstance?”
“Why?”
Some times the best way to bide your time is to ask questions and determine if you are looking for a quick fix or a long-term solution. In many cases of our lives, our problems take months or even years to fix.
Do These When You Struggle With Problems
You are responsible for your actions. The last thing that you want to do is dive into a solution that doesn’t serve you or get strung up with your problems that you do nothing.
To avoid all that do these things:
- Focus on the solution first and foremost.
- Put together a plan to help solidify that solution. Set some basic goals and keep yourself accountable. If you care about solving the problem you’ll do your damndest to solve it.
- Avoid the shiny and quick solutions. Avoid them by seriously asking yourself questions.
- If you stumble about, learn from your past and continue to grow. This is a test of both your skills but also your patience.
To your growth!
