This is an interesting take to resolutions and to life in general. I’m one to still push goal setting though around this time I still call it goal setting as opposed to new years resolutions. Still it’s interesting to put it in the context that as great of a work or effort we put into a work it doesn’t matter in the end is interesting.

People can take that as either depressing or encouraging. Depressing that no matter what we do, our end result is just the same. But encouraging as we might as well go out doing the most craziest thing we can think of.

Still, I believe some people can hold up with the test of time. It depends on the mark that you leave behind. But even that is still speculation.
