“I’ve been asking all my friends this for this one thing…”

“What is it?”

“Could you give me a Kamala Harris landslide victory for my birthday?”

Both my roommate and I have birthdays that are related to significant 2024 American politics events.

Mine is on the 20th of October, the same date as Kamala Harris — the current VP and potentially 47th President of the United States.

For my roommate, his day falls on this years Election Day — today. The day where millions of Americans will cast their vote to determine their next president.

I doubt that we will know the final results by the end of today, however my roommate has been asking his friends online and offline to assure him of this one thing.

That Harris wins by a landslide.

Even though we can’t sway voters and have no power in terms of American election proceedings go, the underline theme here is worry.

Worry enough that it prompts my roommate to make that request.

The reasoning makes sense.
