It’s only one day out of the entire year but for others it’s all year round. It’s a constant battle of back and forth on multiple frontiers.

Coming out as transgender, non-binary, or gender fluid is a decision not taken lightly. It can result in people screaming at you like you have some kind of disease if you so much as try to be helpful to them.

Or it can result in another group vehemently attacking you just because your existence breaks down their world view. A group that has made it their mission and identity to break down the transgender community.

We’re seeing this across countries in different ways.

In Canada it’s disguised as “parental rights in schools” and a “concern for kids”.

In the US it’s vehement hatred and a law-focused surgical removal of trans people existing.

But in addition to all this, there is another group that is supportive of the trans community. They’re not trans themselves, but can relate on some level what trans people are going through.

People who in their hearts knows the hatred and violence aren’t right and won’t solve this problem.

I write (and sometimes do videos) about self-help for those who don't like self-help. Complete with the occasional memes and riffs on the industry that I love.
