What Is Life Truly About? I’ve Got A Theory
It begins with yet another question…
From stoics to your average person, we’re all trying to find our reason for existence. It’s something that we so firmly believe in considering the fact that our birth was a miracle. After all, the chances of any of us being here is one in 400 trillion, if not even lower odds now.
With odds like that, our reason for existence ought to be something profound, deep, and wondrous, right?
We look at the great people over the years and consider the legacies and impacts they left behind in their wake. Each passing resulting in a ripple effect that affects everyone in their own sort of way in due time. This creates the impression that what life is truly about is leaving behind a mark and it’s our goal to make it a significant one.
One that can affect as many people in the most positive ways as we can.
To leave this Earth with the world being a little better than when we first saw it.
But I don’t think that’s the true answer.
While our life is indeed a miracle and precious, legacies are cut short for various reasons. People pass away for no real good reason too. And some people are so tyrannical and terrible that their passing brings a wave of relief.
