What The TikTok Banning Really Has Done
Creators shifting, lives upended. All for what?
Even though I never used the platform, the effects of banning a platform can be felt across and be relatable with ease.
As creators, our lives depend on platforms these days in order to receive a variety of benefits. On Medium, my reach is a lot broader and clearer than creating a blog and finagling with Google Analytics.

Social media — as a concept — is a fundamentally good thing as it allows people to thrive. It allows people an outlet to express themselves and connect with other likeminded individuals.

TikTok, for all of its faults, was a unique one in several different ways and banning it has done more harm than good in a great deal of ways.
