Why Aren’t Gurus Helping More?

The industry standard is advice giving, but we should do more.

A few months ago I had a conversation with one of my uncles about money, saving, and housing. He was comforted by the fact that I stay on top of credit car payments, often paying off most if not all my expenses well before I get a credit card bill.

But the biggest issue that is on everyone’s mind, especially Canadians, is housing right now.

With political groups encouraging us to get our members up in Parliament a universal basic income bill up and running, and elections coming around the corner, affording shelter is a big issue. It’s become a major political point that each party is forced to address.

When talking about it with my uncle, he encouraged me to seek a home soon.

My issue is more about figuring out where I want to settle before that since I know I don’t want to spend my days in New Brunswick. I’d like to move someplace else if I can. Before I think of a home, it’s more of a question of where do I want to go.

But aside from location, location, and location, the other pressing issue is this affordability aspect. And it’s a lot grimmer.
