And how I’ve been breaking out of mine.

For the first time in my life, I feel like I’ve been wanting to make some major changes in my life.

Like so many other men, society's pressures have steered us to act, look, and behave a particular way. To value particular things and use those as our objectives for living a satisfying life, only for those to become increasingly tougher to obtain.

It’s left us in a state of disarray, as the family man provider persona—that’s propagated by manosphere chuds who want to return to the good ol’ days—isn’t all that realistic in today’s society. Especially as the world around us is changing even faster.

A lot of men are caught up in this whirlwind, but I’ve been mostly unscathed. Merely an observer of this group as a whole, I can understand the genuine plight and struggles that other men face.

I’m an outlier in so many ways.

Avoiding the traps, refusing to get sucked into the appeal of it all. But most importantly, genuinely growing and changing.

My lonely self-help journey has been a very slow burn with not a whole lot to show for it. But looking deeper, I think there are some crucial elements that are foolish to brush over.

I write (and sometimes do videos) about self-help for those who don't like self-help. Complete with the occasional memes and riffs on the industry that I love.
