You Can’t Attract Solely By Thinking. Do This Instead
The Daily Grind #7

Do you believe in the law of attraction?
As an entrepreneur, I am a firm believer that what we think and say can make a significance in our lives and those around us. The weight of our words and how much we give influence to other people can dictate what sort of life we will have.
It’s a wonderful feeling, but also it goes to show how powerful this particular law is in our lives.
But I have a problem with it.
And it all starts with how people approach it at times.
It All Starts With The Secret
If you’ve been reading my work and were following my writing challenge, early on I wrote about the law of attraction. You can read about what it is and how to leverage it here and here.
From the beginning I was talking about how it was pitched to people and I’ll say it again.
Some people think you can attract everything in life with only your thoughts.
That is simply false.
Thinking really hard or thinking of a life of abundance isn’t an effective way of making progress in anything.
It’s the same concept as a cancer patient denying treatment because they believe in God that God will cure them.
This happened with a woman once because she believed in spiritual healing. She died.
Instead, what I champion is action. You can’t grow a successful business by playing it up in your head. Vision boarding that shit won’t get you very far either.
What you need is action, but also a specific type of action. After all, thinking is technically something.
You Need Progressive Action
Instead, progressive action is needed if you want to get anywhere. A business will not flourish if you draw up vision boards, branding boards, or some other type of bullshit.
Instead you need to put together a tangible plan with tangible actions behind it. Sure, a vision board can help, but what’s not as time consuming is writing down your goals and writing down the steps you’ll take to get there.
With preparation brings confidence in our lives to do the actions that we need to do to grow our business. The only reason why I’m in a better position is due to my belief in my skills, which I practiced.
I didn’t sit around and envisioned myself as a better writer. I worked on it little by little by asking myself questions and believing in myself.
That can’t happen if you are stuck thinking and hoping.
So do yourself a favour if you are the type to plan way too much or envision yourself. Use that as a supplement and focus on moving more than what you are planning.
To your growth!

Another fun filled day for me yesterday. We are finally done with the heat wave but there was still a lot of rain we got hit with yesterday. For me it was a great opportunity to work further ahead in various areas once more.
There was of course my client work, however I used my day yesterday to dabble into things that I have been delaying for quite some time.
It was nice to go back to the roots so to speak and begin working on some things that I’m excited to announce in due time.
