Your Brain Tells You Far Worse Insults Than Anyone Else

People say bad things, but you say even worse things. Never let it get to you.

--

It’s not easy to ignore people, especially when they are screaming in your face or making a comment. The words can cut deep, they can discourage you, they can make you stop and give up entirely.

In the end, they trip you up and slow your momentum. And a lot of it is to do with what we do afterwards with those words.

While peoples words will stagger us they continue to persist because we allow them to persist in our heads. And what goes on in our head is far worse than anything that is said to us from outside.

I know this so well because that’s some of the reasons why I’ve struggled so much in various aspects of my life.

Why I’m not at my ideal figure yet.

Why I’m not making enough money and it took me so long to get to a point where I was earning what I’m earning.

Why I’m so bad at building long-lasting relationships.

But it’s important for me to keep going. For us to keep going. Because what we tell ourselves is far worse than what anyone else will say to us.

I write (and sometimes do videos) about self-help for those who don't like self-help. Complete with the occasional memes and riffs on the industry that I love.
